The Supreme Court of the United States has gone rogue. They’ve been revealed to be a court of dishonest political appointees, chosen by right-wing political hacks and installed by Donald Trump and Mitch McConnell. The highest court in the land is comprised of at least 4, maybe 5, partisan, political, un-elected people, appointed for life, the most undemocratic and powerful group of decision makers in the country. The rightwing members ensure that we can see they are not a legitimate court. They lied to members of Congress during their interviews and pretended to respect privacy and precedent, two things that we now know they do not respect. In fact, in Alito’s recent opinion, you can clearly see that the majority opinion appears to claim that Americans have no rights to privacy! That’s just incredible.
Without a right to privacy, that means hundreds of laws will be overturned. You don’t even have to want women to have inherent bodily autonomy (as 80{4c54daa6e7d390e0c804f6c94b51bf37f68eac95daa3fa7b95874e6915e44c3a} of Americans do) to realize that having no privacy protections in the United States opens a massive shitcan of worms.
Justice Alito is currently the worst, most partisan “justice” who deserves to be impeached. He does not believe in justice, or equality, or that women are even human beings. He clearly feels that women are 2nd class citizens, if people at all.

Yes, I’m sure Justice Alito would argue to burn women at the stake if it was a potentially legal practice that came up in oral arguments. (Maybe burning us at the stake will be legal some day again, thanks to Alito, Kavanaugh, and Gorsuch).
This is tyranny of the tiniest of minorities upon the majority of Americans, and it’s wrong. It’s unethical. It’s also religious tyranny. Most Americans support Roe v. Wade, even if they don’t love abortion. It’s very well-established law by now and people have realized that if you don’t want an abortion, don’t get one. That’s why letting women choose what to do with their own lives is called “Choice”.

These MAGA Supreme Court justices have no conscience. They are liars. They are dishonest, power-mad dictator-mentality rulers and they think no one can touch them. And the hypocrisy and dishonesty in the explanations around this decision are amazing.
While conservative commentators have sought to minimize these fears, one of their main responses has exposed Alito’s draft majority opinion as nothing more than a lawless exercise of political power. They now claim that the court wouldn’t overrule those other precedents because, among other things, those other precedents are “politically popular.” [Slate]
I thought the Supreme Court prides itself on being “non-political” even if the justices are political appointees, which they are?
This is not how a democracy should operate. We have to do what we can to overturn this bad decision!
