It’s not just Fox News. It’s all of them. Biased American news media is nearly entirely responsible for Joe Biden’s current low poll numbers.
At some point in his first year as president, the news media decided they had to find constant fault with him, and find nothing good about his presidency, so decided to attack Biden relentlessly, day after day after day. They are all doing it. I’m referring to CNN, MSNBC, the New York Times, the Washington Post, the WSJ, CBS, ABC, and other “Democratic-accused”-leaning news media. They found fault with Biden shortly after he took office, and the blaming him for everything negative took a huge leap with the withdrawal of Afghanistan, as though Biden himself and only him was to blame for the chaos. The negative news coverage went on and on and on. They felt there was nothing good about the withdrawl, even though nearly all Americans supported the withdrawal after being there for 20 years!
Then after that event, the negative news coverage increased and continued unabated. The criticism morphed into blaming Biden for everything bad – gas prices, the supply chain, COVID returning, inflation and more. Pundits railed and news hosts judged every day. Everything was Biden’s fault. It got so bad I basically started watching only Reuters, BBC News and France 24, and now I much prefer those networks. They stick to the news and don’t criticize Biden relentlessly.
I remember one day when a pundit on MSNBC, (I believe it was Peter Baker) said that “Joe Biden is a deeply unpopular president”. This was early in 2022. I could not believe my ears. It was like he was living in an alternate universe. Baker is clearly a Republican, as are most pundits on the TV networks, including on MSNBC, so of course he made that up and declared it on TV like it was fact. But that type of mindless Biden criticism was becoming “normal”. I swore off American pundits at that point because they were ignoring reality nearly entirely. It was like Fox News had infected everything and everyone.

It gets to the heart of the problem, the “bothsidesism”, and the bending over backwards not to appear pro-Biden, even though he is the American president. Supporting anyone other than Trump must be harmful to their ratings.
This is the same American news media that gave us endless footage of empty podiums, and stupid Trump supporters saying stupid things, and Trump’s jet flying through the air as though delivering god himself to the masses in 2015 when they were so enamored with Donald [Jackass] Trump. This is the same news media that basically had a collective orgasm at the moment Trump got the nomination for president in 2016.

One of the sharpest dips in Biden’s approval rating — which has dropped from 55 percent in January 2021 to less than 39 percent today — happened last August, when it declined almost five points in a single month. There wasn’t a huge surge in gas prices, nor some big legislative failure. What caused Biden’s dip was the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan — or, rather, the media’s 24/7, highly negative coverage of it.
To be clear, Biden deserved criticism. The early stages of the U.S. exit were tumultuous, with desperate Afghans clinging to U.S. military planes and massing outside the Kabul airport. The Taliban took control far more quickly than the administration anticipated. But for much of August, the homepages of major newspapers and cable news programs were dominated by Afghanistan coverage, as if the chaotic withdrawal was the only thing happening in the world. Journalists and outlets tore into the president, with Axios calling the withdrawal “Biden’s stain,” NBC News correspondent Richard Engel declaring that “history will judge this moment as a very dark period for the United States,” and CNN’s Jake Tapper asking an administration official on his show, “Does President Biden not bear the blame for this disastrous exit from Afghanistan?”
Biden’s poll numbers plunged, closely tracking the media hysteria. As The Post’s Dana Milbank wrote in December, data analysis showed a marked increase in negativity in media coverage of Biden that started last August. After the withdrawal, the media lumped other events into its “Biden is struggling” narrative: infighting among Democrats over the party’s agenda, Democrats’ weak performances in the New Jersey and Virginia gubernatorial races, rising inflation, and the surge of the delta and omicron variants. Biden’s role in these issues was often exaggerated — there are many causes of inflation besides Biden’s policies; presidents can’t stop the emergence of coronavirus variants. This anti-Biden coverage pattern remains in place.
Afghanistan was an important turning point in media coverage for two reasons. One, it provided journalists the big anti-Biden story that I think many of them were desperate to find. And it drove down Biden’s popularity with the public, giving the media justification for even more coverage that cast the president as struggling. …
Now, Biden is polling worse than Trump was in July 2020, when thousands of people were dying each week of covid, a situation much worse than the real and serious problem of high inflation in the Biden era. You can’t credibly argue that Trump, with his constant inflammatory statements and incompetent management, was a better president than Biden. These poll numbers reflect something gone wrong.

American media is terribly biased, and not in the way most people think. It’s biased against a democratic government.
