Why do Donald Trump and some other sad, clueless Republicans want a guy from Texas – Hershel Walker – who admits to hearing voices and has multiple personality disorder – to run for the Senate in Georgia?
Just because he’s famous?
This is a direct quote from the Atlanta Journal Constitution:
“Walker says he suffers from dissociative identity disorder, which he traces to an isolated childhood in rural east Georgia where his speech impediment made him a frequent target for bullies. Voices in his head that once calmed him steadily transformed into distinct identities that shaped his actions.”
So if he runs, how will he address his mental illness? It’s been public for years and he can’t hide it. He even wrote about it in his book, years ago. There are stories of domestic violence incidents in his past, and he may have CTE, a common brain injury that NFL football players get. Here’s a quote from AJC about his domestic violence.
“He outlines his mental illness in vivid detail in his 2008 book, “Breaking Free: My Life With Dissociative Identity Disorder,” writing candidly about his infidelity and suicidal thoughts.
His former wife, Cindy Grossman, has also spoken publicly about her then-husband’s threatening behavior and said that he once put a gun to her head during a violent rage that Walker later said he didn’t remember.”
So seriously, why in the name of Gawd would any Republican want this guy to be their Senate Candidate? I can see why Trump likes him. He’s has sexual/domestic violent assault in his background. (As with Jeffrey Epstein, Birds of a Feather.)
Hershel Walker may be a Senate candidate only in Trump’s feverish mind, but he is being discussed seriously as Senate candidate to take over for our excellent current Senator, Rev. Raphael Warnock. As a resident and voting citizen of Georgia, I’m personally offended at Texas for offering up a mentally ill Texas man to run for our Senate seat, much like I was personally offended when some Republicans in Texas tried to overturn my vote after the 2020 president election, (because Biden won and Trump lost badly.)
Here is the AJC article about Hershel Walker. Hopefully a serious candidate for Senate who actually lives in Georgia will be the actual person to run, because I’d hate to write a bunch of articles about Hershel Walker’s mental illness. It’s not something that is pleasant to write about. He deserves to be retired in peace in the dried-up heat of Texas. And Georgians don’t really want him to move here, we have too many Republicans already. (If you are a Democrat though, please do move to Georgia before 2024).
(I would like to add also that Walker was a lousy football player. I lived in Minnesota when the Vikings acquired Walker for a huge price, and he never performed even 1/4 of how it was promised he’d perform for the Vikings. They got rid of him quickly.)
