Trump is a Raging Fascist

Trump is a Raging Fascist who is increasing his threats on Americans every day. Trump is threatening to go after “The Enemy from Within” by which he means his political rivals and people in government who investigated and tried to prosecute him. He wants the military and the National Guard to “go after” people he doesn’t like – Americans. The media. Adam Schiff. Various Generals. Hillary Clinton. Etc. And he wants to suspend the Constitution and get rid of most government agencies and employees, something we know from the dangerous and un-American Republican plan called Project 2025.

Former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Mark Milley said Trump is ‘fascist to the core,’ in Woodward book

Read it here. The former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff says Trump is “the most dangerous person to this country,” echoing dire warnings of others in national security circles. People in DC know Trump is a fascist.

You see? This is a common belief among people who worked with Trump. They know what he’s like and what resides in his core beliefs.

And we knew this in 2016. This was written back then, as a warning we didn’t take seriously.

Trumpism, 21st Century Fascism, and the Dictatorship of the Transnational Capitalist Class

Trumpism’s veiled and at times openly racist and neo-fascist discourse has “legitimated” and unleashed ultra-racist and fascist movements in U.S. civil society. I have been writing about the danger of “21stcentury fascism” as a response to the escalating crisis of global capitalism.

Trump is also increasing his racist rhetoric, now combining all immigrants as “vermin” who are “poisoning the blood” of America. This is literally how fascists talk. Trump would also erode womens’ rights even more than he already has. Read this article by Ann Applebaum in the The Atlantic laying out the threat of Trump and how he would destroy what’s left of America. You can also listen to the article on their website.

Trump Is Speaking Like Hitler, Stalin, and Mussolini

The former president has brought dehumanizing language into American presidential politics.

Rhetoric has a history. The words democracy and tyranny were debated in ancient Greece; the phrase separation of powers became important in the 17th and 18th centuries. The word vermin, as a political term, dates from the 1930s and ’40s, when both fascists and communists liked to describe their political enemies as vermin, parasites, and blood infections, as well as insects, weeds, dirt, and animals. The term has been revived and reanimated, in an American presidential campaign, with Donald Trump’s description of his opponents as “radical-left thugs” who “live like vermin.”

She makes these excellent points.

This language isn’t merely ugly or repellant: These words belong to a particular tradition. Adolf Hitler used these kinds of terms often. In 1938, he praised his compatriots who had helped “cleanse Germany of all those parasites who drank at the well of the despair of the Fatherland and the People.” In occupied Warsaw, a 1941 poster displayed a drawing of a louse with a caricature of a Jewish face. The slogan: “Jews are lice: they cause typhus.” Germans, by contrast, were clean, pure, healthy, and vermin-free. Hitler once described the Nazi flag as “the victorious sign of freedom and the purity of our blood.”

Stalin used the same kind of language at about the same time. He called his opponents the “enemies of the people,” implying that they were not citizens and that they enjoyed no rights. He portrayed them as vermin, pollution, filth that had to be “subjected to ongoing purification,” and he inspired his fellow communists to employ similar rhetoric. In my files, I have the notes from a 1955 meeting of the leaders of the Stasi, the East German secret police, during which one of them called for a struggle against “vermin activities

There are only about two weeks remaining before the American election. Make a plan to vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz now. Don’t sit this one out. Don’t stay home and not vote. We have an election between a good, normal person who wants to improve this country and work for Americans and a man who is deranged and patterns his life and his ugly campaign on the worst dictators the world has ever seen. Trump literally admires dictators and other fascists. Don’t let him win. Vote, and make sure everyone you know goes to vote, either early voting or on Election Day. Check your secretary of state’s website for more information about voting in your state.

NOVEMBER 5TH IS ELECTION DAY.

Don’t let the Fascists win!
