Did Trump visit train derailment sites when he was president? NO. Not a one.
In 2017 there was a deadly Amtrak train derailment in Washington state. Six people died and many were injured. Did Trump visit the site or comfort victims? NO.
Neither did his Transportation Secretary, Elaine Chao.
This is from the Amtrak derailment in 2017.
Former fake president Donald Trump is in very deep trouble right now, facing indictments in many different legal cases. The Southern District of New York, the Georgia Fulton County DA, and the DC Special Counsel Jack Smith seem likely to strike with indictments soon. The US DOJ is ramping up its investigation into Trump’s many crimes too. Maybe as a result of that, Trump is not expending much energy yet into campaigning for the 2024 presidential race. Why should he? He’s got his sad little social media platform, Truth Social, where he spews nonsense and lies all day long, every day, including some threatening “jokes” and Q and pro-January 6th Riots memes.
Since Trump isn’t campaigning for president very much, he does the minimal amount he can get away with. This includes his ballihooed BS trip to East Palestine, Ohio to view a train derailment. He also brought some “Trump water”, actually just tap water bottled and branded by a Trump company that hasn’t been making bottled water for a decade. So Trump gave those poor people plastic-infused, old stale water. He gave a political speech and left. When he returned to his lair at Mar-A-Lardo, he started brag-posting about the short trip. He claimed the trip got him great numbers, great ratings, even though no one broadcast it live. (Well, maybe OANN did, but no one watches OANN).
His own actions prove that Trump made that trip for one reason only – it was a campaign stop. It was done to give him political goodwill with Ohioans, but it has backfired on him spectacularly. Because now we know that the Ohio train derailment was Trump’s fault. It occurred due to Trump de-regulation policies.
Trump literally caused the derailment himself. Back in September, 2018, Trump rolled back safety regulations on trains.
The result of his deregulation in 2018:
Trains that carry oil and other flammable material won’t have to install electronically controlled brakes that reduce the risk of train derailments and explosions after the reversal by Trump officials of an Obama-era safety rule.

Here are some other facts about train derailments during Trump’s Administration from Hell.
When Trump was president:
There were 5,103 train derailments in the US.
Neither Trump nor his Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao went to a single one of these derailments. 5,103 of them.
There were 44,360 train accidents, with many resulting in fatalities. Again neither Trump nor his TS Elaine Chao went to a single one of these or talked to any of these victims.
There were 58,920 transportation-related hazardous waste leaks and spills resulting in 26 deaths and dozens of injuries. Again, neither Trump nor Elaine Chao went to a single one of these accident aftermaths either, nor does it appear that FEMA was called in for any of these disasters.
Compare that with the efforts of President Biden who immediately reached out to the Republican Governor of Ohio, DeWine, in a “red” state. Also, Trump made many efforts, and succeeded to undo critical Obama-era safety regulations, including mandated breaking regulations on trains carrying toxic substances. That is why this train accident happened in the first place.
It’s the arsonist in Trump going to visit the fire that he himself created. He also brought only about a DOZEN pallets of water to Ohio. A pallet of water is 2,880 bottles. A pallet of water usually costs about $500.
So Trump gave about $5,500 worth of water to the citizens of East Palestine. He seriously thinks he’s doing more for them than the federal government. (He’s not).

Yes the East Palestine train derailment was an environmental disaster, and potentially a health crisis (we don’t know that yet) but let the government clean it up and deal with it! The EPA and others who are working on the derailment are literally the experts. Not some dumb old jackass in a MAGA hat throwing old water at people.
